PPF is used as the unit for plant growing. PPF is the total photon amount between 400 - 700nm on the LED SPD.
Chlorophyll a and chlo are the main photoreceptors for photosynthesis, and they don‘t absorb photons between 510 - 610nm.
The amount of phton flux or absorption is between 400~510nm(chlorophyll a) and 610~700nm(chlorophyll b), ALPHABET calls it “Active PPF(A-PPF)”. Most grow lights have an annoying magenta color changing the visual spectrum in the space and on the plants themselves. This forces a separate installation of white lights alongside the grow lights.
